The night sea was quiet, the water reflecting the cold moonlight. On the ship’s deck, Laffey rubbed her eyes, her white hair swaying gently in the wind.

“...So sleepy… Laffey wants to go back to sleep… but… something is coming…” she mumbled.

From afar, a metallic screech echoed across the waves.
The massive mechanical creature KRGM rose from the surface, its red eyes scanning through the mist.

“Target detected: eliminate.”
The mechanical voice boomed.

Laffey sighed, tilting her head slightly.

“…Laffey doesn’t want to fight… but if you’re going to disturb Laffey’s nap… then… Laffey will try…”

KRGM fired streams of energy rounds that sliced through the sea, raising columns of water. Laffey pushed off her feet, her small figure darting left in an instant.

“…too fast… Laffey hates noisy things…”
She lifted her twin guns, blinking slowly.

A series of white shots arched through the air and struck KRGM’s armor, forcing it back.

The machine roared.
“Unexpected firepower detected. Increasing attack level.”

KRGM reconfigured its combat modules, metallic blades expanding outward like wings. It lunged forward at unbelievable speed.

Laffey remained still, her red eyes beginning to glow.

“…Laffey’s sleepy… so she’ll finish this quickly…”

A silver-white aura wrapped around her, as if moonlight tore through the darkness.

“Son of Eagle Union… activating…”

In an instant, Laffey became a streak of light, slicing past KRGM.
A deafening explosion followed. Water erupted into a perfect ring around them.

KRGM froze, its body splitting apart before bursting into fragments that scattered across the sea.

Laffey landed gently, her feet barely skimming the water’s surface.

She yawned softly.
“…all done… Laffey can go back to sleep… no more bothering… mm…”

The sea breeze carried her faint voice through the quiet night.

“Good… night…”
